The Florida State Park Plein Air Painting Tour – Painting each of Florida's State Parks on location

Florida State Park Plein Air Tour – Side Trip to Cross Creek and Evinston

While I was painting at Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings State Park, Rick decided to take my camera and check out the little town of Cross Creek. Then later, we both went to nearby Evinston to see the wildflowers and the old Wood and Swink Post Office store. The views of flowers and scenery were just the best I’ve ever seen! The flowers are starting to fade, so if you want to see some of beautiful old Florida in bloom, get up there quick!

    Hi Margé!
Oh, it was just beautiful there last weekend. I would’ve stayed there all day taking photos if Rick would’ve let me! It’s on my list to go next year at this time to try to paint some of the flower fields.

      Thanks Trudi!!!
I remember your Sandhill cranes very well☺️
I am so glad you are enjoying the tour. You have to get out and go to the parks, there are so many nearby, and even us natives can still see something new!
