The Florida State Park Plein Air Painting Tour – Painting each of Florida's State Parks on location
I arrived at the Savannas Preserve State Park on a very windy afternoon. The wind was whipping from the east at about a steady 25mph! After touring the park, I decided to paint near the kayak launch area overlooking the marsh. The clouds were changing quickly and the water was a deep grey blue. As I tried to capture the feel of the wind and weather, the wind kept blowing the brush in my hand! The wind was so strong, as I turned to pack my gear, the wind blew my easel over onto the ground! Luckily, I had just packed my can of solvent and the painting landed face up with no damage.
