The Florida State Park Plein Air Painting Tour – Painting each of Florida's State Parks on location

Fourth of July

Today was a cool day for July! The clouds laid low all day, but the rain stayed away. The hummingbirds were loving the cooler weather and were buzzing all around the garden. I actually managed to get a couple of photos of them – normally they vamoose when I come out with the camera! I also worked on an older painting a bit. I didn’t care for the sand & water at all on the first attempt (posted several weeks back) – so added some more paint to the canvas today. Tomorrow is a day off, so maybe I’ll work on the little girl and get this one finished!:)

The girl reminds me of the Coppertone girl. Nice painting.
