The Florida State Park Plein Air Painting Tour – Painting each of Florida's State Parks on location

Driving on Water

Each year there is an antique boat festival in our town. It used to be in Mt. Dora, now it is headquartered in Tavares – but both towns are on Lake Dora. My favorite “boat” is the Amphicar. These little 1960’s era mustang convertible look-a-likes drive around on land – speed down the boat ramp – make a big splash – then speed around on the water. I’d love to own one – but at about $40,00 way over my budget!

I created a painting of a few crusin’ in front of the Mt. Dora lighthouse. This painting will be on display in the new Mt. Dora Publix next month to celebrate Mt. Dora’s 100 year anniversary.
